What an interesting contrast to the other version of this! It's amazing how simply shifting colors creates an entirely different mood. This piece feels so much... lonelier than its sister image. There is a coolness to this work that suggests more isolation.
I love what you've done with the contrasting images! Gorgeous -- both of them! |

Your use of color, light and shodow are wonderful and I wold love to see this under ultraviolet lights.
I love that you are taking such care with the directioanlity of your bursh storkes. It dose so help to set the mood as much as the color chooses.
A very strong and expressive image.
I she a seaker who has found a truser of gift after a long quist. It is a very bright in this very dark world. And I go back to the keeper of magic to so often appears in many of the old tails and songs.
The texture of the brushstrokes use the lighting to the best possible effect, and deliver a gritty sensation that one would associate with the dark, almost arcane, atmosphere.
Bumping the little figure just a little tiny bit to the side effectively keeps away the stagnant bug, especially in combination with the movement implied by the twisting limbs of the tree. These also help shift the eye from the round moon to the round light in the arms of the figure.
The colors are surprisingly saturated and contrast beautifully, helping achieve the dark mysterious feel.
