I'm always interested in every interpretation you give in my pictures, the story you can imagine

Once again, I love the new direction you seemed to be taking with color.

As in the last painting, see me; the juxtapositioning of the contrasting colors and the rich textures very attention getting. I find your use of texture an even stronger element than it was in see me.

I see the face as wearing blinders as if blind to the world. And with the face stitched back together as if it broken by the same world. Pain Confusion loss and need.

It has the feelings I associate with good science fiction and also with psychedelica.

Once again nice job

For me it is certainly a dark image, the texture being craterous, theme of blindness and loss of humanity. Green glowing in his mind... like a nebulous vexation, and a galaxy of thought in an interior world.

And the top being stitched to the bottom is another great theme, of fragil alliances between human aspects, the body sewn together again as the owner's ownly vessel.

:)

The image suggests a Japanese demon to me, the face compromised to the point where one could be reading these features from the spectacular shapes and colours of deep space.

The linear texturing to this piece is very interesting, how it flows and blends throughout. Its emphasis in the top/background lends that a dreamlike feel, and its continued but muted presence in the focal 'blinded face' ties it all together nicely into a crunchy concept package.

Cool stuff!

you can blame the linear lines on the wood. i LOVE working on wood!!

thanks for the feedback!

How about I credit the linear lines on the creative process of the artist, instead?

I mean, you coulda gone with HORIZONTAL lines... :) Vertical works much better in this piece, to my mind.

Of course, on the feedback - thanks for taking it so well!

i don't mind giving the wood credit. i choose to paint on wood because of its irregular texture. like i choose my colors and my compositions. the instruments are important in an orchestral arrangement, i think. :)

CE of how they're applied that makes the difference. *grin*

Artistic choice, if you will...

Er, looks like the message got truncated.

Something about artistic CHOICE of materials making a difference, not just the
materiels themselves. :)

of course :)
i like happy accidents caused by the ability to use them from lots off experience, and the materials chosen by trial and error over years. it's random, but not.

I still love those colors, they're so drippy. The Woman's face could be Mother Earth Being stitched together with all the man made materials, like concrete, and is being damaged severely. What looks like a hat on the top of her head looks dead like a mountain range with a river flowing from it. The green aura looks like t's the tormented manifestation of Earth writhing and growing, you can see it flowing through the river as well. Like the Earth will take away the structures and rid itself of the plague.

This seems like a true experience, thus the title! It's like seeing from out of somebody else's skull.
