This is wonderful
I love the vibrant colors. It makes me think of the keeper of magic to so often appears in many of the old tails -- St. Francis said, “A man who uses his hands is a laborer. One who uses his hands and mind is a craftsman. He who uses his hands, and his mind, and his heart is an artist.” You and your trees. *grin*
Ever listen to Heather Alexander? She's got a song, "Wooden Toy Sword", that this strikes me as being very similar to. It doesn't fit the lyrics that well at all - but there's a similar mode I think. The lighting details are, as usual, great. The high contrast color schemes are strong and eyecatching. It's interesting to me how the primary figure's shadow is so thin compared to the body - surrealism embodied in the fall of light held in the hand. Again, a great, fun, mind-stretcher of a piece! -- Apophysis! UltraFractal! Yes - I FRACTAL!! Rhymes! Yes - I commit Poesy!! |
