saw her live yesterday. she has an amazing voice and the performance was wonderful. but, wow, the audience was dead. nobody was dancing. everybody just stood there.
i guess maybe i need to go to concerts that attract a more outrageous crowd.
The fire fades away Most of everyday Is full of tired excuses But it's to hard to say I wish it were simple But we give up easily You're close enough to see that You're the other side of the world to me
she started that song out by asking who was in a long distance relationship and then advising that either the person come NOW or they break up. i think it's a sad song, about the struggle of long distance. apt for japan. some people have long distance relationships for a decade because of transfers.
sigh. I haven't heard kt tunstall, so I don't even know how danceable her music is, but... I'm sure the blame is to be put on the Japanese! not the artist.
I tell you, when I went to a music festival in Okinawa (mostly reggae, with some crazy fun fusion music), now they knew how to dance and have a good time ^__^ I think a big part of it is that Okinawa is the place people escape to to get away from the stress of working life. basically they were "freer" because they were in a different place both physically and mentally.
damn city folk in Tokyo <__< you gotta educate them Aeravi!
I love her voice too
