It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

live painting!  dancing and painting from midnight to 5am to some amazing psychadelic trance and live sets.  something like 3,000 people came!

i've been asked to do it again in April, this time in the dj's booth!  very exciting!

i got paid, too!  i would've done it for free.  excited, because it's the first money i've made in tokyo for art...  and apparently the owner of ageha -the biggest club in tokyo- really liked the painting i did!!!

yatta!!!  yay!!

Once again, this is a really awesome idea for an event. I'm interested in psy-trance myself, actually, have you ever heard of Texas Faggott? They're the only real group that I know in the genre (two guys) but I really do admire their skills. If you've got any recommendations as far as the genre goes I'd be more than willing to hear them. :]

So you are not japanese?

I'll be in Japan the next summer probably, I would like to see something like this. Let me know if you are going to do it again in that period.
